The Fairview House

This home in the Chicago suburbs possessed very little architectural interest, but the neighborhood kept its owners there. Pure & Simple Interiors reinvented the home as a place geared toward having friends and family over for drinks and dinner.

The proportions between the heights of ceilings, doors and windows were corrected. Beams sourced locally were installed on the ceiling in the living room to draw the eye up. In a bold mood that took the space from traditional too modern, a fireplace wall was clad in steel from floor to ceiling. Applied wall moldings throughout elevate the home further.

With an aesthetic that is all about clean lines, a natural palette, lots of texture and a focus on art, the home functions equally as well sans guests for the couple living there.
